NAR Offers Risk Management Publications Online

The National Association of Realtors® now offers state and local Realtor associations the opportunity to provide valuable REALTOR VIPSM Risk Management Publications electronically on their members-only, password-protected Web sites. Through a licensing agreement with NAR, associations can purchase the rights to post electronic versions of several REALTOR VIPSM Risk Management Publications including Workplace Law and Office Policies; Real Estate Assistants; and Independent Contractors in Real Estate. Bob Goldberg, NAR senior vice president of marketing and business development, said, "Up-to-date industry knowledge is vital to our members" success in the real estate market. With NAR"s REALTOR VIPSM Publications, members learn how to reduce their risk of liability and enhance their success. By providing this information online, NAR gives members direct, easy access to the issues, policies and trends that affect their clients and their livelihood. Realtors will learn how to minimize legal risks while increasing profitability and strengthening their business position. "In addition, this is yet another way for our associations to enhance the content of their Web site and keep up with the speed of technology while providing useful information that will help our members be successful," he said. The Maine Association of Realtors® was the first association to take advantage of this new licensing program. "The Maine association decided to license the NAR manuals because that gave us the ability to provide our members immediate access to the comprehensive information contained in the manuals," said Cindy Butts, executive vice president of the Maine association. "We wanted to develop information that was already available from NAR on personal assistants, independent contractors, and risk reduction, and this joint effort allowed us to cost-effectively deliver that information." >P? Members enjoy the benefits of NAR"s REALTOR VIPSM Program, which is designed to help Realtors® gain the advantages of group buying power, plan for the future and expand their professional knowledge through its more than 50 publications and educational offerings. The more than 30 REALTOR VIPSM strategic alliance partners, which make up the program, are leaders in their industries and committed to providing NAR members with special offerings tailored to their needs.
