Prudential Georgia Realty"s Jan Baker Receives Recognition

Jan Baker, the managing broker of the Prudential Georgia Realty Buford office, was installed as Vice President of Communications and Public Relations for the Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR). One of four vice presidents installed into office, Baker"s responsibilities will include being in charge of several committees including the convention, communications, and public relations committees. She will also oversee the regional directors, sponsors, and assist with strategic planning. Baker will fill this position throughout the 2001 calendar year. Realtors are nominated for offices by a GAR nominating committee. These nominations are then voted on by the 400 regional directors. While at the Inaugural Meeting, Jan Baker was also honored with one of the most coveted awards given by GAR. She received the President"s Award from outgoing GAR President James Lee Herndon. This award is given each year by the GAR president to the one member who has, in the president"s opinion, been the hardest working and most helpful person within the organization.
