Residential Real EstateRegional Report: Northeast
Bob Ferrigno in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, says the market HAS shifted, but homes priced correctly and in good condition continue to sell.
Pricing is the single most important aspect of marketing your home in today"s market, Ferrigno says, and a knowledgeable Realtor is integral to finding the correct price.
Over in Montville, New Jersey, Anne Fisher reports they are in a depreciating market and will stay in one for a couple more years.
It"s a great time to buy, she says, but if you must sell, be sure to price your home with an "energy price" to get more offers in the shortest amount of time.
Conditions are more balanced in Rochester, New York, says market expert Steve Vaisey.
Homes in good condition that are priced competitively continue to sell well, Vaisey says, but those on the high side or that need repairs are taking much longer to sell.
