ResalesToronto Harbourside Condo Market Balmy
Toronto Realtors report a strong seller"s market in waterview condos.
"This bustling area offers a fabulous city lifestyle at Toronto"s lakefront," says Realtor Madeline Elbirt. "There are many styles of condominiums here for the first-time or seasoned buyer. Walk to Toronto"s downtown core for shopping and entertainment."
Elbirt suggests, "Toronto"s Lakeside condo resale market continues to be a hot market, with the average price for Toronto lakeside condos properties up at $294,002, up from $283,269 in April, 302 sales, 37 days on the market. Toronto downtown"s lakeside neighbourhoods continue to draw buyers with listings sold within an average of 98 percent of asking price."
Says Realtor Rob Roland, "Condos along the Toronto waterfront are minutes to the financial/entertainment districts with world-class shopping, professional sports, and tourist attractions only minutes away.
"Waterfront apartments and wide range of attractions, from avant garde art (Power Plant Gallery), DuMaurier Theatre to sailing, antiques, biking and jogging," says Roland, "are nearby. Toronto has one of the best city walking areas along waterfront trail and parks. From your 18th floor condo you can see yachts at the Royal Canadian and Queen City Yacht Clubs. Harbourfront Centre has year-round activities but the International Festival of Authors puts it on the world stage. It"s demographically not a family area but more middle to upper income couples and professionals. Excellent public transit and road system. One bedrooms start at $195,000 and 2 bedrooms $325,000 with many apartments up to $500,000 and even higher."
Explains Realtor Carlos Vieira, "Toronto is a clean, safe, cosmopolitan city with a wonderful network of parks, recreational, and cultural facilities. Toronto is the home of four professional sports teams and the third largest English-speaking theatre district in the world, behind New York and London. One of the world"s most ethnically diverse cities, it is home to more than 80 ethnic communities from Africa, Asia, and Europe. Toronto is also the business centre of Canada. Toronto is a first-rate North American visitor destination. With countless outstanding attractions including Skydome, Casa Loma, Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), The Hockey Hall of Fame and the CN Tower, it"s not surprising that Canada"s most populated city (more than 4.5 million in the greater area) entertains millions of visitors each year."
